About Me

Encouraging Your Child to Be a Well-rounded Student

My son was an honors student in elementary school. He studied a lot and his hard work paid off. Ever since he was a young boy, he loved playing soccer with the neighbor boys. When I found out that the middle school he was soon entering had a soccer team, I assumed he would be trying out. I asked him about it, and he said he was afraid that he wouldn't have time to study if he played soccer during the school year. We had a long talk, and I encouraged him to pursue the sport he loved; I helped him schedule his days so he still had plenty of study time. He is now on the soccer team and not only a star player, but also still earning great grades in school! I decided to start a blog to share my tips for helping children tackle tough educational hurdles.
